Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Peter exhorts the crowd to save themselves from this untoward generation. Those who gladly receive his word are baptized, and about three thousand souls are added.
Neville's Inner Vision
Save yourself from this untoward generation means withdraw your attention from the crowd of common thought and awaken to the I AM that you are. The crowd is a state of consciousness, not a place; the exhortation is an invitation to repent into a new identification with God within. When he speaks of gladly receiving the word, he describes embracing the inner Law—the Word that declares you as consciousness rather than a collection of outward appearances. Baptism is not a ceremony in a river but an immersion in the stream of awareness, a cleansing of the old self by aligning with the truth of your being. The three thousand souls added represent the awakening of many facets of your being to harmony with that Word. The event occurs in present consciousness: as you dwell in the awareness of I AM and accept it as real, external forms rearrange to match the inner conviction.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly and assume you are already saved, immersed in the living water of awareness; repeat 'I AM' until it feels real. Open your day with that posture, inviting the three thousand inner facets to awaken in unity with your essence.
