34For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
35Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
Acts 2:34-35

Biblical Context

David is not ascended into the heavens; this verse points to the Lord’s enthronement in your own consciousness, a present authority rather than a distant promise. The Lord’s word to my Lord becomes a present rule in your mind, declaring you seated in power now.

Neville's Inner Vision

David’s ascent is not a literal geographic ascent; it is a symbol of the condition of your mind. The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, until I make thy foes thy footstool, speaks to your inner sense of self. The I AM within you is the true throne, and the ‘my Lord’ is the higher self or Christ within, now seated at the right hand of awareness. Foes are fears, doubts, and appearances; they are not realigned until your consciousness elects to rule from this throne. The Kingdom of God is the living state of your awareness—here and now—where power flows from recognizing the I AM as ruler, casting out limitation, and transforming appearances into harmony. When you acknowledge this inner kingship, you experience a present, intimate Presence of God sustaining you, and the promise becomes an immediate reality in your life.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and affirm, I AM on the throne of my heart, seated at the right hand of God. Feel the authority of this inner kingship now; revise any troubling circumstance by declaring it footstool under your feet and observe the shift as awareness rules the scene.
