Biblical Context
Pentecost in Acts 2:1-4 shows believers joining in unity. Then they are filled with the Spirit to speak in new, inspired ways.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your inner Pentecost is when the day of separation and waiting ends in you; the 'one accord' is a state of mind where all your functions—will, feeling, imagination—are in harmony. The rushing wind is the activity of imagination sweeping through your inner room, sweeping out doubt and making room for a new conviction. The 'cloven tongues like as of fire' are the fiery ideas that bless your lips and pen, each burning with clarity for a new expression. When it says they were 'filled with the Holy Ghost,' realize this as being filled with the I AM presence, the awareness that you are not apart from God but inseparable from the source. The line 'began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance' means your new state speaks itself through you—your words, actions, and creations aligning with the divine feeling. The inner act is to assume this reality now, and to feel that the Spirit is uttering through you, your life becoming evidence of your inward Pentecost.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are already in one accord with the divine within you. Feel the wind of inspiration and let a single phrase rise from your heart as if spoken by the Spirit itself.
