Inner Outreach in Acts 19:9-10

Acts 19:9-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Acts 19 in context

Scripture Focus

9But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.
10And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.
Acts 19:9-10

Biblical Context

Paul faces opposition, withdraws from the crowd, and continues teaching daily in Tyrannus' school; over two years his message spreads to all who dwell in Asia.

Neville's Inner Vision

Whenever a crowd of hardened thoughts rises in your mind, do not argue with it. Withdraw your attention and establish an inner school of disciples, train your imagination daily. Tyrannus represents worldly opinion, the noisy classroom of doubt; you depart from it and teaching continues in the quiet. For two years you persist, not for outer conquest but for the inner conversion: the word of the Lord Jesus, Christ within you, spreads through Asia, the vast field of your mind. The two-year cadence is a symbol of unwavering repetition: each day you fix your attention on truth until it becomes the dominant impression. Presence of God is not found in outward mobs but revealed in the steady movement of consciousness. The I AM within you speaks through your images, and the outer world gradually reflects that inner reality. This is not the conversion of others but the awakening of your own inner state as universal, until every corner of your mental Asia knows the Word.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and declare, 'I am the Word of the Lord Jesus within me.' Visualize daily teaching in your inner Tyrannus-free school, and feel the two-year cadence bringing the whole Asia of your mind to know the Word.
