Biblical Context
Acts 19:17-20 depicts fear falling on the people, the Lord Jesus being magnified, believers confessing their deeds, and the burning of books of curious arts, culminating in the rapid growth of God's word.
Neville's Inner Vision
I tell you that the Jews and Greeks in Ephesus became aware that the I AM within them had awakened to the name of the Lord Jesus, a name not as an external idol but as their own high awareness. Fear fell, not from threat, but as the old man within clutched the last vestiges of power and released them before the inspired heart. When those who believed came forward to confess and show their deeds, they were simply acknowledging the reality they had already imagined. The burning of the curious arts' books represents the deliberate cessation of old mental practices; the price they counted is the price they paid to release the past, a symbol of freedom from binding beliefs. As the Word of God grew mightily and prevailed, you witness the law of consciousness in action: when you stop feeding idolatries and align with the Lord within, your world conforms to that truth. This is a turning—from fear to trust, from separation to the unity of God as I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the Lord Jesus within as your true identity. Revise fear and old desires as already burned away, feeling the word of God taking hold in your life.
