Biblical Context
Paul bids farewell to the believers at Ephesus, saying he must keep the Jerusalem feast and will return if God will; then he sails away.
Neville's Inner Vision
From Neville’s lens, the scene is a map of consciousness, not a travel itinerary. 'I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem' points to a determined inner feast—a banquet of truth within the mind. Jerusalem stands for the state of awake awareness in which you acknowledge your oneness with God, and the feast is an ongoing communion with that reality. Saying 'I will return again unto you, if God will' is the humble consent to be led by the I AM, rather than by the external plan. The sailing from Ephesus becomes the outward sign that a shift of consciousness has occurred; you move because your inner state has changed and drawn a new place into visibility. In your own life, identify the inner feast you will keep today and assume its reality now: you are fed, you are restored, you are returning to every situation in harmony with God’s will. Practice by dwelling in that assumption, feeling the assurance as real, and let the next move be guided by the I AM inside you.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and repeat, 'I have kept the inner Jerusalem feast; I now return by the will of the I AM.' Feel the moment as already true, then proceed from that state.
