Read Acts 17 in context

Scripture Focus

6And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;
7Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.
Acts 17:6-7

Biblical Context

The passage describes how, when Paul and Silas were not found, Jason and others were dragged before the rulers, accused of turning the world upside down and proclaiming another king, Jesus, contrary to Caesar.

Neville's Inner Vision

In your inward life, the world being 'turned upside down' is the sign that the old order is being rearranged by the arrival of a new king. The 'rulers' who seize Paul and Silas represent the familiar fears, habits, and beliefs of Caesar—the ego's decrees that say, this is the way it must be. But the message borne by these travelers is not about a distant event; it is the announcement of the I AM, the higher self, the inner king who now governs from within. When you allow Jason—the receptive mind—to receive them, you align with a shift in consciousness rather than resist it. The declaration that there is 'another king' is your own inner proof that there is a different government in operation—the Christ within you, the king Jesus. This is not a rebellion against life; it is life reigning as you, from inside outward. Eventually, your outward life becomes a reflection of this inner authority, and the world you call 'outer' begins to respond to the new ruler you have acknowledged inside.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, take a breath, and assume the inner throne: 'There is another king, Jesus, within.' Feel that sovereignty now and let it quiet your outer circumstances for a few minutes.
