Read Acts 17 in context

Scripture Focus

2And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
3Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.
Acts 17:2-3

Biblical Context

Paul studied the scriptures and reasoned with them for three Sabbaths, showing that the Messiah must suffer and rise again. He proclaimed that Jesus, whom he preached, is the Christ.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here we see Paul in the mind, going in unto them and spending days with the living law of scripture, until their inner hearing is tuned to the one theme: the Christ must suffer and rise. In Neville’s diction, the letters and verses are not history but the states of consciousness we inhabit. The suffering of the Christ is the passing away of a belief in separation, the death of a worn-out sense of self. The Resurrection is the undeniable return of awareness to its original state—I AM, the divine presence that cannot be killed. When Paul announced that Jesus is the Christ, he declared that the one you call 'self' can be touched by the indwelling reality and proven by its fruit. The mind, when it rests in the truth that this Jesus is the Christ within, discovers that the outward events align with that inner shift. The kingdom is not distant; it is the inner order of consciousness being assumed as fact. As you acknowledge this, your world begins to rearrange itself around the new sense of life.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the truth that the Christ within has risen now. Feel the shift in your awareness as if the old self is passing away and a new life has awakened.
