Acts 15:5-6

Biblical Context

In Acts 15:5-6, some Pharisees argued for circumcision and the keeping of Moses' law; the apostles and elders gathered to deliberate. These lines hint at an inner clash between external ritual and inner trust.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice how the conflict speaks not of bodies but of states of consciousness. The Pharisees who believed are a voice within you that insists on outer rules to prove loyalty to God; they cry circumcision and the law as necessary conditions. But the apostles and elders are your higher self, the inner council that observes the mind and questions separation. When they come together to consider, they embody the I AM attending to its own awareness, not to external rites. The truth is that circumcision represents a cutting away of an awareness that you are not already in the fullness of God, yet the true covenant is loyalty to the living presence within, a faith that does not demand external compliance but an inner alignment with love and freedom. In this scene, the movement from legalistic zeal to thoughtful inner discernment is your own awakening: you realize that the law to be kept is not a set of commands but the constant awareness of the I AM. Trust that the inner council can legislate harmony, not by forcing rules, but by revealing your unity with God. Your imagination is the instrument by which this unity becomes real.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, assume you are the I AM, and let your inner council settle on unity; feel that you are already one with God. Then revise any sense of separation by silently affirming, There is nothing external I must do to be loved or complete.
