Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
They deliver the epistle to the Antioch crowd, who rejoice in consolation. Judas and Silas, prophets themselves, exhort and confirm them, and Paul and Barnabas continue teaching in Antioch.
Neville's Inner Vision
Let Acts 15:30-35 be read as a scene inside your own consciousness. The epistle is the living word of God within you; when the mind gathers its many thoughts (the multitude), reading the epistle becomes a reading of your true nature. The consolation spoken of is the recognition that you are already consoled by the I AM that you are. Judas and Silas, the inner prophets, do not bring something new but testify to what you already are, exhorting you toward a steady alignment with your unity in God. Their many words are the affirmations of the divine mind, strengthening your resolve that peace is your natural state. When they tarry a space and depart in peace, you learn to rest in the timeless level of consciousness where no lack exists. Silas remaining hints that the stillness of God remains to anchor you, while Paul and Barnabas teach continuously the word of the Lord as your inner principle. The overarching message: peace is not earned from without but revealed from within when you assume the truth of your unity with the I AM. Practice: acknowledge that this epistle is already written in you and let your inner atmosphere reflect it.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and imagine the Antioch gathering resting in your chest; assume the epistle has arrived and I am consoled, feeling the peace settle into every cell.
