Scripture Focus

6They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:
7And there they preached the gospel.
Acts 14:6-7

Biblical Context

They became aware of danger, moved to neighboring inner cities of perception, and there they proclaimed the gospel.

Neville's Inner Vision

Where you read of danger in Acts, you read your own mind. They were aware of it and fled unto new inner cities, not as escape but as a shift of awareness into broader ground. The region round about is the atmosphere of your beliefs; when you change the inner state, the surrounding life concedes to the new center. The act of preaching the gospel becomes not a sermon to others alone but the conscious decision to live truth as real: you are whole, protected, and guided by the I AM within. Neville would say the Gospel is your own consciousness waking to itself. Imagination is the lever by which you move from fear to freedom; by imagining yourself already where you must be, you locate the very places where your truth can express itself. The outcome shows that God is the I AM, not some distant deity, but your own awareness that remains constant while your thoughts travel. So the journey and the proclamation are one movement of inner faith made visible in your life.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume you are already in the new inner city where your message is heard. Feel the certainty of safety and the fresh air of conviction as you declare your truth.
