Biblical Context
Unbelief and opposition arise as inner doubts that stir the mind against the faithful. In your consciousness, counter-forces of fear and social pressure seek to turn your inner community away.
Neville's Inner Vision
Acts 14:2 becomes a map of the mind. The unbelieving Jews are not others; they are stray thought-forms of doubt and self-importance that arise in your inner theatre and stir up the Gentiles—images, opinions, and people you project as trouble. The line 'made their minds evil affected against the brethren' points to a state where your inner circle of unity is unsettled by fear and rumor, a drama played out in your own consciousness. Neville's teaching insists there is only one mind—the I AM—and that all appearances are but states of consciousness you have entertained. When you refuse to identify with the stirred mind and rather identify with the one divine awareness, the agitation dissolves. Hold to the truth that you and the brethren are one in God, that unity is the natural condition of your being, and let the scene revise itself accordingly. By assuming and feeling from that state—peace, trust, and harmony—you awaken the inner community to its rightful, undivided march.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and say quietly: 'There is only one mind here, and it unites all; I revise the scene now.' Feel the brethren in harmony as if it were already real.
