Acts 14:1-2

Biblical Context

In Iconium, Paul and companions teach in the synagogue; many Jews and Greeks believe, but unbelieving Jews stir opposition and inflame others against the believers.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that in Iconium the multitude believes because a new mental movement has taken hold. In Neville's language, the crowd and the synagogue are not places in time but conditions of consciousness where ideas and identities meet. The Jews and Greeks who believed represent a state that embraces both the familiar and the new within the mind that asserts I AM awareness. The unbelieving Jews stirring the Gentiles is the appearance of resistance within consciousness—voices of doubt that rise to threaten the flow of belief. When minds are 'evil affected' against the brethren, that is the self’s inner chatter turning toward separation, fear, and reaction. Yet the true power lies in the phrase 'great multitude believed': a sign that your inner conviction can draw diverse aspects of your life into harmony. The key is to refuse to be moved by the stirrings of opposition, and to maintain the feeling of oneness as the sovereign I AM. As you practice, belief becomes the environment; the outer event mirrors your inner alignment.

Practice This Now

Assume that the entire inner audience believes now; revise any resistance by repeating 'I AM' as the living unity. Feel it real by closing your eyes, breathing deeply, and sensing harmony filling every part of your being.
