Acts 13:9-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul, empowered by the Holy Spirit, confronts Elymas the sorcerer, labeling his deceit as opposition to righteousness. The moment manifests as a temporary spiritual blindness, while the governor's astonished faith marks a turning toward the truth.
Neville's Inner Vision
Saul, who is Paul, is the inner I AM waking to its own authority. The eye he fixes on the man of deceit is the fixed attention of consciousness, the mind’s tendency to twist truth to serve fear or pride. When he calls him ‘child of the devil’ and ‘enemy of all righteousness,’ he names the inner resistance that perverts the right ways of the Lord—the egoic habit that would bend truth to suit self-need. The hand of the Lord upon thee is the inner Power moving through awareness, and the decree of blindness for a season is the temporary cessation of that old pattern, a release from ignorance by the light of realization. The mist and darkness signify the clearing of perception as conversion occurs in consciousness, while the deputy’s belief shows that outer outcomes follow inner conviction. Remember: this is inner doctrine, not external miracle; your conversion comes when you acknowledge and reform your own thoughts. When you align with the I AM, the world discovers the truth through you.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the I AM is awake in you. See the inner Elymas struck with light and fade; then feel the governor of your life believing the truth you now embody.
