Read Acts 13 in context

Scripture Focus

25And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.
26Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
Acts 13:25-26

Biblical Context

John says he is not the Messiah and points to the One who comes after him. The salvation spoken is directed to those who fear God and seek truth within their own consciousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

John’s outward ministry marks a stage of consciousness—the mind chasing a messenger rather than the message. He says, I am not he; behold, the one after me comes. In Neville’s language, the I am you are recognizing is not a man but the I AM within. The statement to you is the living word of salvation addressed to your present consciousness, when you fear God (align with the law of your true nature). The one after me is your higher self, the Christ within that follows the ego’s voice. The shoes he says he is not worthy to loose symbolize humility of identification: you do not identify with the outer persona; you awaken to the Self that wears the crown. Therefore, salvation is an inner awakening, a state you can assume here and now. Your task: dwell in the feeling that the Self has already accomplished the work; the external events will reflect that inner reality as your life conforms to your inner state.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, identify with the I AM, and revise a limiting belief by declaring I am the salvation now. Feel the assurance spreading through you as you dwell in that state.
