Biblical Context
Herod's outward authority collapses when he refuses to give God the glory. The passage teaches that human power is hollow unless it is aligned with divine sovereignty.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this scene, Herod’s throne represents outer authority born from a state of consciousness unaware of the I AM. The crowd's shout, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man, reveals the ego’s vanity when power is mistaken for selfhood. The moment he withholds glory from God, the inner governor withdraws its favor and judgment arises as inner correction, reminding you that God alone reigns. Your life mirrors your inner assumptions: outward power appears where your state of consciousness has aligned with divine will. To revise, assume you are the I AM and that all glory flows to God within. Feel it real that the inner radiance is the true governor, shaping outward circumstance in harmony with spiritual law. Imagination creates reality when you dwell in this inner state; thus, the so-called kingly power is only a reflection of your inner allegiance to God. When you maintain this alignment, the sense of separation dissolves and true sovereignty manifests.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and declare, 'I am the I AM; all glory flows to God within.' Feel the inner light settling on your mind and allow your outer life to reflect that divine sovereignty.
