From Prison to Freedom Within
Acts 12:17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Peter explains how he was delivered by the Lord, tells them to relay the news to James and the brethren, and then moves on to another place.
Neville's Inner Vision
Peter’s report that the Lord freed him from prison is a mirror of your own inner escape. The ‘prison’ is a state of consciousness you have endured by habit—fear, lack, limitation. The ‘Lord’ who brought him out is the I AM within you, your living awareness that is always at hand to alter the pattern of thought. When he beckons them to hold their peace, he quiets the clamor of doubt and shows that the most real change is inward. ‘Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren’ becomes a call to bear witness to your inner council—your James, a facet of faith within the mind—that what has happened is true now. Then he departs to another place: you are invited to occupy a new territory of consciousness, leaving the old room of limitation behind. Practice: in imagination, affirm, ‘The Lord has brought me out; I am free now,’ and extend the claim to your inner circle until it becomes your lived state.
Practice This Now
In 60 seconds, close your eyes, breathe, and assume the feeling of being already free. Then declare to your inner James and brethren, 'The Lord has brought me out; I am free now,' and stay with that new state.
