Biblical Context
Persecuted believers scatter to new regions, initially preaching to Jews only; some, from Cyprus andCyrene, later speak to the Greeks in Antioch, and the Lord’s hand is with them, bringing many to belief and turning them toward the Lord.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your life is not held by outward events; it is a state of consciousness that moves when you assume it. The scattering of the early believers mirrors the pressure that pushes you beyond a fixed circle of concerns. In your inner Antioch, the Spirit speaks not only to 'Jews' but to the 'Grecians' within—the diverse faculties of mind seeking the Lord Jesus as the I AM. When you refuse to contract your attention to one traditional audience, you begin to preach to every aspect of yourself, declaring that the LORD Jesus is the living presence everywhere. The hand of the Lord with them is the assurance that your inward declaration carries power; belief is not of outward coincidence but of inner alignment. And as you persist in this inner evangel, a great number within you turns unto the Lord—the moment you realize that all desire and every impulse are manifestations of the one consciousness. Your mission expands not by geography but by the widening of your awareness, until all selves awaken to the Lord within.
Practice This Now
Assume now that you are already the Lord’s consciousness everywhere; revise any sense of lack by silently affirming, 'I AM the Lord, I AM present in all' and feel it real as you breathe.
