Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage states that the followers are witnesses to all Jesus did—his life, death, and resurrection—and that God raised him for all to see. It then promises remission of sins to those who believe in him.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, the witnesses in Acts are not distant men, but the states of consciousness waking in you. The verse says God raised Him and shewed Him openly; so in your inner theatre, the Christ within is brought into revelation by your awareness. When you accept that you are the “witnesses chosen by God,” you acknowledge that what Jesus did—in history—has already occurred in your own mind. The remission of sins is the natural result of seeing yourself from the standpoint of Life, not as a sinner, but as the I AM that conquers fear and guilt. The Judge of quick and dead is simply your inner alignment turning toward Life, judging the old to be finished and the new to be alive. All the prophets bear witness that through belief in this Name, you are forgiven in the instant you consent to it in imagination. Thus, you are called to preach to yourself—testify to your inner audience—that you live now in the reality of a reconciled, resurrected consciousness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and enter quiet; imagine you are seated with the risen Christ in your inner room, and declare, I am the witness chosen by God. Feel the remission now as belief shifts your sense of self from separation to Life.
