Inner Peace in Acts 10:36-43

Acts 10:36-43 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Acts 10 in context

Scripture Focus

36The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
37That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
38How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
39And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
40Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;
41Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
42And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
43To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Acts 10:36-43

Biblical Context

God sent a message of peace through Jesus, who did good, healed the afflicted, and was raised by God. Believing in him grants remission of sins.

Neville's Inner Vision

Peter’s sermon here is a map for awakening consciousness, not a mere history lesson. The 'word' God sent is a vibration of your own awareness announcing peace; it becomes real when you assume it. Jesus of Nazareth represents the Christ within you—the anointing of the Holy Ghost and power you can claim now. When you declare that He is Lord of all, you are affirming that every part of your life is governed by your divine I AM, not by fear or limitation. The acts of healing described become the healing of your own sense of separation, the release of oppression by embracing unity with God. God raised him on the third day and showed him openly; likewise your inner life can rise above past doubts as you accept the truth that you are one with the Source of life. We are witnesses chosen by God—your daily experiences become evidence when seen through this light. Believing in his name is not grasping at an external savior, but the inner recognition that remission of sins exists as a state of consciousness you already inhabit.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume the truth 'I am forgiven and one with God now.' Feel the peace rise and let it govern the next minute of your awareness.
