Biblical Context
Peter reminds us that the old boundary between Jew and Gentile is dissolved when God reveals the truth. No person is common or unclean in His sight.
Neville's Inner Vision
All such outward divisions are but temporary pictures on the screen of your mind. The law that called certain people unclean is a custom-made state of consciousness you have accepted as real. When Peter says God showed me not to call any man common or unclean, he is awakening us to the inner principle that your I AM identifies with all—that which you acknowledge as real within yourself cannot deny another. To see the other as unclean is to refuse the fact of your own divinity, for you and your neighbor share the same fountain of being. The vision is not about geography but about belief; your invitations, associations, and choices become a proof of your inner alignment. If you dwell in the truth that all are clean in God, your actions will witness that truth beyond old boundaries. The Cornelius moment is your own moment of expansion, inviting you to enlarge your circle of awareness until it includes every expression of life as beloved and worthy.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly and declare, 'I AM the I AM; in me there are no unclean ones.' Then picture someone you have labeled as 'other' entering your space with warmth, and make the feeling of openness real in your chest.
