Inner Power, Global Witness

Acts 1:8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Acts 1 in context

Scripture Focus

8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts 1:8

Biblical Context

The verse promises power to witness, following the pouring of the Holy Spirit, beginning in one's own inner life and expanding outward.

Neville's Inner Vision

Power does not descend from without; it arises from the conviction you already are the I AM, and that awareness gathers its body of witnesses. When you hear the Holy Ghost comes upon you, translate it as the inner visitation of God's presence waking within you. The Jerusalem is the seat of your own thought and feeling; begin there, seeing yourself speaking from that innermost center with calm authority. Move outward into Judaea and Samaria - your interactions with others and your limited viewpoints - by holding in mind the banner of your awakened consciousness, retelling your day from the stance of the witness. And the uttermost parts of the earth become the farthest reaches of imagination, where your repeated acts of faith ripple into life. The power is not a force separate from you but the energy of awareness itself, flowing as you insist, I am this witness now. Trust that the moment you envision this, the world rearranges to echo your inner decree.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume you are already empowered; declare, I am the witness called forth by the Spirit now. Visualize a scene in your inner Jerusalem where you speak with calm authority, then let that energy radiate outward to every contact you meet.
