Biblical Context
Jesus tells the disciples that the time of a national restoration is not for them to know; instead they will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes and will witness from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the Acts passage, the kingdom is not a distant political project but a state of consciousness I call the I AM. When they ask about times, do not seek the calendar; awaken to the truth that the times are turned by your inner sense of self. The power spoken of is the Holy Ghost, the living imagination, descending as awareness into your daily scene. You are not being sent to external Jerusalem; these places are inner stations you travel in consciousness—Jerusalem your present sense of self, Judaea and Samaria the concentric circles of your thought, and the uttermost earth the farthest reaches of your felt life. To be witnesses unto me is to live as the Christ in action: to keep your choices steeped in calm certainty, to emit love, to act from an inner authority that does not react but reveals. The Father’s power is within, not out there, waiting to be discovered; once you acknowledge this, your mission unfolds as a natural extension of your inner kingdom into every outward encounter.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are already empowered by the Holy Spirit. Feel the inner current of I AM filling you now and declare, 'I am the witness' in your next moment.
