Awakening the Inner Kingdom - Acts 1:6
Acts 1:6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Acts 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The disciples ask if now is the time to restore Israel's kingdom, signaling a desire for external power. The verse invites a shift to see the kingdom as an inner state of consciousness already present within.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice how their question reveals a longing for a future restoration rather than a present fact. The Christ within would say: the kingdom of God is not a political conquest to be awaited but a present inner state you cultivate by your assumption. Israel stands for your waking awareness, the I AM you are conscious of. The kingdom arrives not when history changes but when you change your sense of self; you realize sovereignty by treating the feeling of its reality as true now. Your task is not to petition a ruler from without but to align your interior with that sovereignty through a firm, lived assumption and the feel of the wish fulfilled. When you dwell as the ruler of your inner realm, your outer world shifts to reflect that inner climate. So ask yourself: what is my present consciousness? Answer by assuming peace, order, and mastery within, until that inner atmosphere becomes your experienced life.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, declare 'I am the kingdom now,' and feel the rising sense of authority within you. Maintain the feeling for several minutes, letting it color your perception of daily life as if you already possessed the desired sovereignty.
