Acts 1:26 speaks of the disciples releasing the external method of casting lots to decide Matthias’ place among the company. In Neville’s language, the lot is a symbol of inner discernment—the moment your I AM chooses a new state and calls it into actual form. The repetition of the act reveals that nothing outside of you truly decides your ministry; your consciousness creates it, and the 'numbering with the eleven' is simply the inner recognition that you have stepped into a mature function within the Kingdom of God. The promise whispered in the chapter—the Kingdom is at hand—becomes practical when you hold a conviction and act from it. Matthias represents a new faculty of faithfulness joining the twelve, not an external event but a revision of identity from fear or uncertainty to a fixed sense of self as witness. The casting of lots is the ritual of an inner decision: you align with the vision, and your life reorganizes to reflect it.
