Biblical Context

They prayed for guidance to choose between two men, then cast lots and Matthias was chosen to join the eleven apostles.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the story of Acts 1:24-26, the two candidates represent inner possibilities within your own consciousness. The Lord who knows hearts is your I AM, the steadfast awareness that already knows which state you belong to. The prayer is a shift of attention—a turning of the mind toward the truth you desire. The casting of lots symbolizes yielding to the inner verdict that your ministry is already chosen in consciousness; the outer event (Matthias joining the apostles) is the manifestation of a state you have embraced inwardly. Therefore, the technique is not about coercing events from without, but about aligning with the state that corresponds to your desired outcome. When you pray, you invite the truth of your being to reveal itself; when you choose in imagination, you allow the inner decision to become your outward reality. Embrace the sense that you are already appointed to your work, and let the outer world catch up to the conviction you hold in your heart.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and ask within, 'Which of these two states am I choosing for my ministry?' Then imagine yourself living from the chosen state and feel it as already true; confirm the sense of readiness until it dominates your present experience.
