Inner Church Reflections

3 John 1:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 3 John 1 in context

Scripture Focus

10Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.
3 John 1:10

Biblical Context

The verse portrays a man who, if John comes, will recount his deeds, speak maliciously, refuse to receive the brethren, and cast them out of the church.

Neville's Inner Vision

From the Neville lens, the 'deeds' and 'malicious words' are not external crimes but currents in your own consciousness. When John says, 'if I come, I will remember his deeds,' you hear a hint that every observed happening is a projection of your inner state. The 'brethren' are the members of your own I AM—your true unity—while the act of 'casting them out' reveals an inner habit of rejection you carry toward parts of yourself. The man prating in malice is the voice of fear in you; the community you cast out is your own sense of wholeness you have disowned. You are asked to awaken to the truth that you dwell in a single consciousness, and the sounds you hear as accusation are invitations to revise the state you inhabit. When you assume a new inner posture—for example, 'I AM unity; all are received as expressions of the I AM'—you dissolve the need to judge or exclude. Imagination, not external reform, changes the world; feel it real that the entire church is your own inward alignment, and every 'brethren' comes home to you as you reflect your own divinity.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, declare 'I AM the unity of all within me,' envision every seeming adversary as a facet of your own consciousness, and feel it real as you welcome the brethren back into your inner church.
