Crown Of Righteousness Within

2 Timothy 4:6-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Timothy 4 in context

Scripture Focus

6For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
7I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
2 Timothy 4:6-8

Biblical Context

Paul declares he is ready to depart, having fought the good fight and kept the faith. He speaks of a crown of righteousness laid up for all who love his appearing.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the I AM, the outer event of death is only a shift in consciousness. When Paul says he is ready to be offered, he is telling you that the inner state has already expired the old self and awakened to the new definition of self—one with God’s presence as the only reality. The good fight, the finishing of the course, and the keeping of the faith are not external feats but inner disciplines, practiced until the mind dwells in the awareness 'I AM' and perceives no rival to God. The crown of righteousness is not a trophy but alignment—the inner reward that comes when you love his appearing, when you welcome the inward manifestation of the Lord within. The Lord, the righteous judge, becomes your own executive sense of justice, affirming your divinity and restoring you to fidelity with the eternal you. In this reading, the verse declares that what you call 'now' corresponds to the end of old consciousness, and what you call 'that day' is the inner recognition that God is appearing as you.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume you have finished the course. Feel a crown of light upon your head as the I AM within confirms its victory.
