Inner Justice of 4:14
2 Timothy 4:14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Timothy 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse records that Alexander harmed Paul, and it states that the Lord will reward him according to his deeds.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that this line is not about a man named Alexander alone but about a state of consciousness called opposition that arises within you. Paul, the I AM witnessing, names the external enemy as an inner image. When you understand that the Lord is your own inner law of cause and effect, the phrase reward him according to his works becomes a statement about alignment: as you hold a state of forgiveness and right use of power, you reverse the charge and let your imagination reward the false image by bringing harmony in your experience. The other becomes a mirror of your own judgments; the evil acts are movement of a belief that you detach from by assuming the truth of your own righteousness. Providence is always guiding you to a more peaceful inner state, where all appearances are tokens of your state of consciousness. Your one duty is to return to I AM, assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled, and let the inner law do the rest.
Practice This Now
Sit quiet, revise the scene by declaring I AM that I AM and assume the feeling that the inner law rewards every deed by aligning my world with justice. Feel it real for one minute.
