Biblical Context
In the last days, perilous times arise as people become lovers of themselves and the pleasures of the world. They may wear a form of godliness, but the inner power is absent.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the reader, the 'last days' are not an external era but inner states of consciousness. When you identify with lovers of self—covetous, boastful, proud—you surrender the simple truth that you are the I AM, the living awareness behind every scene. Those traits are inner movements you permit by listening to the ego's murmur; they rise as outward conditions when the mind forgets its oneness with God. Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof means you wear religious masks while the inner power remains unseen. The cure is interior revision: refuse the ego's narrative and reoccupy the indwelling God-present as your real center. Feel the truth of the I AM as the sole power in your life, and act from that state until it floods every choice, without seeking approval from the world. As you stand in that inner authority, the outer appearances shift to reflect the new reality. Turn away from the character of 'such' times by turning toward your own inner godliness, which alone yields lasting freedom.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, declare I AM as your sole reality, and revise any thought of selfish pleasure into expressions of obedience and love for the divine within.
