Inner Clockwork Of Perilous Times
2 Timothy 3:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Timothy 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The text states that perilous times will come in the last days. It hints that such times reflect inner states of consciousness as much as outer conditions.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within me the 'last days' are not distant years but a cadence of consciousness. Perilous times arise when fear, doubt, or limitation enters my awareness. If God is the I AM, the only reality is the presence that witnesses these movements. To identify with the fear is to align with it; to align with the I AM is to rise above. I can revise by assuming a higher state and feeling it as if it now were true: peace, steadiness, and certainty. As I dwell in the sense of being complete, outward conditions shift to reflect that inner state, and what seemed imminent dissolves into quiet. The verse becomes a call to govern my interior life, to awaken to the truth that consciousness creates form. Perilous times exist only as belief; the enduring truth is that I am the perceiver who can alter the scene through imagination and unwavering faith. When I persist in this inner posture, the outer world becomes a faithful echo of my inner I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume you are already in the peace of the I AM, feel it as real now, and revise any anxious thought by quietly declaring, 'I AM.'
