Enduring for Inner Salvation
2 Timothy 2:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Timothy 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The author endures hardship for the elect so they may receive salvation in Christ Jesus and share in eternal glory.
Neville's Inner Vision
Endurance is not an external trial to be endured for others alone; in this inner reading the elect are your awakened states of consciousness. When you say, I endure all things, you align with a steadfast I AM that refuses to be moved by fleeting appearances. The verse does not demand you conquer others, but to hold the vision of salvation as already completed in Christ within. Salvation, in Neville's sense, is the recognition of your true nature—awakened awareness that never dies, a present tense glory that lives in you now. By persisting in this inner posture, you magnetize the anointing of grace, and the outer events shift to reflect that inner state. The eternal glory is the unchanging light of awareness, the constant realization that you are the I AM and not the fear or doubt of the moment. Thus the sakes of the elect become your own inner allies; your endurance becomes the bridge by which others awaken to their own salvation.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In one minute, close your eyes and declare, I am saved now; feel a warm light filling your chest as you rest in the presence of I AM. Then revise any fear or doubt by repeating that you already possess this salvation in the present.
