Inner Confidence in God Keeping Power

2 Timothy 1:12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Timothy 1 in context

Scripture Focus

12For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
2 Timothy 1:12

Biblical Context

Paul's statement shows enduring faith despite suffering. He trusts in the one he believes in to guard what he has entrusted until its manifestation.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within your mind, the 'whom I have believed' is the I AM - your unwavering awareness. Paul's suffering is the stirring of a former self, the old story of lack; his not being ashamed is the choice to stand in the truth that your belief is held by an unassailable power. 'He is able to keep that which I have committed unto him' becomes practical: you commit your concerns to the I AM the way you would entrust a sacred message to a guardian who never fails. 'Against that day' is not a distant deadline but the moment your mind realizes its own spiritual order. The keeping power works as a state of consciousness that preserves your gift, your purpose, your peace, until the day you awaken to its presence. So the verse invites a revision: return to the I AM, assume the state of being kept, and feel the relief and confidence that flows from the inner assurance that sustains you now and in all days.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes, breathe, and assume the state of being kept by the I AM; privately repeat 'I am kept by the I AM' until a sense of relief floods you. Then commit a current concern to that inner keeper and imagine it held securely until its realization.
