The Inner Example to Follow

2 Thessalonians 3:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Thessalonians 3 in context

Scripture Focus

9Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
2 Thessalonians 3:9

Biblical Context

Paul indicates he had power but chose not to exercise it for domination, instead becoming an example for others to imitate.

Neville's Inner Vision

All the power you imagine in the world is a state of consciousness you choose to inhabit. When Paul says, We did not exercise our power, but made ourselves an ensample to follow, he is showing you that authority is not external force but inner presence. The 'power' exists as your I AM, and its test is whether you demonstrate the living quality you want others to imitate. To be an ensample is to dwell in the state you desire others to copy: calm, steadfast, loving, true. If you attempt to compel or command from without, you reveal that you still identify power with limitation; if you instead radiate the state you want your followers or peers to adopt, you become the living pattern. Practice now: close your eyes and announce, I AM the example others follow in every situation. Feel the reality of being that standard in your body, breath, and decisions. See your daily acts shaping others not by control but by the consistency of your inner state.

Practice This Now

Assume I AM the example others follow in every situation, and feel it real; today, perform one act that embodies the standard you wish others to imitate.
