Inner Guard of the Lord
2 Thessalonians 3:2-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Thessalonians 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage speaks of deliverance from unreasonable and wicked people and notes that not everyone has faith; yet the Lord is faithful and will establish you and guard you from evil.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the inner story, 'unreasonable and wicked men' are personifications of your restless mind and external pressures. They appear to test your faith, reminding you that faith is not universal in the crowd. But the Lord is faithful—the I AM within you that never wavers. He shall establish you, fix your center, and keep you from evil by the alignment of your consciousness with divine law. Deliverance is not mainly through changing people but through becoming conscious of your invulnerability in God. When you assume the truth that you are held by a steady, benevolent presence, you create a buffering state—a inner guard that repels fear and keeps your peace intact. This does not deny outer danger; it transforms your relationship to it. The more you dwell in the feeling and assumption of being established, kept, and guided by the faithful Lord, the more outer appearances bend to your inner reality. Your faith acts as a magnet, drawing protection and order into your life.
Practice This Now
Assume now that you are established by the Lord; feel the I AM surrounding you and rest in the conviction that you are kept from evil.
