The Inner Lord of Peace
2 Thessalonians 3:16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Thessalonians 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse declares that the Lord of peace will give you peace always and that He is with you. It invites reliance on divine presence rather than personal effort.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine that peace is not a distant gift but the very nature of your being, poured into you by the I AM, the Lord of peace within. When you say, 'the Lord be with you all,' you are awakening the awareness that presence is your atmosphere, not a circumstance to be sought. Peace comes by acknowledging that you are one with the I AM, and that this awareness can steady any outward storm by the simple act of assuming peace as your current state. The words of Paul are not history but an invitation to revise your inner structure: picture the mind calm, the heart steady, and you standing in the assurance that peace is now your habitual reality, supplied by every possible means. In this view, 'by all means' means any channel through which you let sensation, thought, or feeling convey the truth. The Lord of peace is your governing sense; when you align with that sense, you feel His companionship, and the external world reflects the serene state within.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, 'The Lord of peace is with me now.' Then feel a warm presence permeating your being and imagine peace as your constant atmosphere.
