Inner Truth Awakening

2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Thessalonians 2 in context

Scripture Focus

9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2 Thessalonians 2:9-10

Biblical Context

Plainly, the text presents an arriving influence that uses power, signs, and lying wonders to deceive. Those who do not love the truth are the ones who perish.

Neville's Inner Vision

All the coming of the so-called evil is a movement within your own consciousness. The 'Satan' of the passage is the restless imagination when it forgets the I AM and latches onto appearances. The 'power and signs and lying wonders' are vivid pictures your mind crafts to clothe fear as fact. They seem to arrive from without, as if a dark visitor were outside your door, but they are only the images born from inner belief. The ones who perish are those who do not love truth in awareness; they cling to the spectacle and call it real, thereby refusing the salvation that comes by awakening to the truth within. To be saved is not an escape from life, but a waking to your true nature—the I AM that you are here and now, the light that never fails. When you dwell in the sense of being this truth, the deceiving world dissolves into the background, and you stand free, fully alive to the reality of your own consciousness.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume you are already saved by loving the truth; revise the belief that appearances govern you. Feel the truth now, realign your imagination with the I AM, and let that inner reality dissolve the sense of deception.
