Stand Fast in Inner Traditions

2 Thessalonians 2:15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Thessalonians 2 in context

Scripture Focus

15Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
2 Thessalonians 2:15

Biblical Context

Paul urges believers to stand firm and hold the teachings they received, whether spoken or written.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that Paul does not ask you to defend an external tradition, but to occupy a state of consciousness in which the taught Truth remains intact. The tradit ions are inner impressions, habits of mind you have accepted in your imagination. To stand fast is to refuse to let your awareness drift into doubt; it is to rehearse in mind the certainty you have already accepted as true. As you imagine, the act of holding the teaching becomes the very life you live. The epistle is not a historical relic; it is an invitation to persist in the conviction that you are taught by your I AM. The moment you revise your sense of self to align with that teaching, you remain in the same state that produces the world you call real. Your fidelity to the inner law is your obedience and your faithfulness; truth and trust are one, and the world follows your inner state.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the stand-fast state you already possess; silently repeat, 'I stand fast in the truth I have learned,' until the feeling of certainty fills you. Then carry that conviction into your daily life and watch your world reflect the inner state.
