Delusion and Inner Truth

2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Thessalonians 2 in context

Scripture Focus

11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
2 Thessalonians 2:11-12

Biblical Context

The passage speaks of a strong delusion that leads some to believe a lie, and of accountability for those who reject the truth and dwell in unrighteousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this text the God in you is not an external judge but the I AM awareness that witnesses every thought. The 'delusion' is a state of mind you allow when you resist the truth you already know. If you cling to a lie—feeling separate, inadequate, or powerless—the imagination reinforces it, and you experience its faulty consequences as if life itself were punishing you. The remedy is to revise from within: acknowledge that truth is your natural condition and that you can choose it now. Assume the feeling of truth as if it already is; watch the counterfeit image fade in the light of awareness. Repeat, I am truth, I am I AM, and I align with what I know to be real. By dwelling in the reality of truth, the delusion loosens its hold, and a new sense of faith, trust, and accountability arises—not from dread, but from the assured presence of the I AM.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume the feeling of truth now. Revise any lie by picturing it dissolving in light while you affirm, I AM truth.
