Biblical Context
Paul urges believers not to be unsettled by reports about the day of Christ, but to remain steady in mind and faith as they await the Lord's coming. The inner security is the call to abide in Christ-consciousness here and now.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is not a future timetable but the awakening of your own consciousness to the truth you already are. The gathering unto Him is the moment you align your mind with the single I AM within you, and the world begins to reflect that inner alignment. Do not be soon shaken in mind, or troubled by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us; those are mere thoughts in the theater of life, not realities in the kingdom of God. When you affirm that Christ is now, you revise the sense of separation and dissolve the idea of time’s hold. The day of Christ is at hand whenever your inner state remains calm and clear, for that is the very pulse of God within you. Practice by assuming the state, feeling the reality of I AM as your own, and letting your imagination witness that nothing outside can override that truth. As you dwell in this state, the outer news loses its grip; your inner Christ-light governs perception and experience, mirroring unity with God.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes, declare 'I AM Christ-consciousness now,' and imagine you are gathered with Him in the still present I AM. Feel the certainty as a tactile sensation in your chest, and rest there for a moment.
