Present Glory, Future Judgment

2 Thessalonians 1:9-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Thessalonians 1 in context

Scripture Focus

9Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
10When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
2 Thessalonians 1:9-10

Biblical Context

It says unbelievers will be punished with everlasting destruction from God's presence. Believers will be glorified and admired when Christ comes.

Neville's Inner Vision

Not as distant doom, but as your own inner state. The 'punishment' is the self-imposed separation from the I AM—when you forget you are awareness. The 'presence of the Lord' and the 'glory of his power' are the very light of your consciousness, shining when you claim your birthright as the I AM. When He comes to be glorified in his saints, it is your inner self recognizing the divine traits you already possess—faith, love, resilience—made real by your belief. The phrase 'in that day' points to the moment you accept and feel this now, because our testimony among you was believed—your inner testimony becomes outer reality as you persist in the assumed state. There is no outside judgment; there is only the shift of consciousness from lack to abundance, from separation to union. You are the temple; the day you believe is the day you are glorified in your own life.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: In a quiet moment, assume the state: I am the presence of the Lord here now; I am glorified in my life and admired by those who believe my witness. Feel it fully, and rest in the assumption until it feels like your natural state.
