Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul tells troubled believers they will rest with the Lord when Jesus is revealed. The day will show God's glory in the faithful and reveal consequences for those who do not know God or obey the gospel.
Neville's Inner Vision
To Paul's troubled ones, I answer: the day of the Lord is the moment you turn away from the story of lack and fear and return to the I AM you are. The revealed Christ is your own awareness, appearing now as you quiet the mind and align with the gospel of your true self. The flaming fire is not punishment from outside but the burning gaze of your unflinching conviction that you know God and obey the inner gospel—your word of truth you already accept in feel-it-real form. When you recognize that you are not separate from the presence of the Lord, you live in the glory of his power here and now. The ‘vengeance’ dissolves old selves and false images that deny your unity with divine life; what remains is the everlasting destruction of separation, replaced by everlasting presence. In that day, he is glorified in your saints—the thoughts and deeds that emerge from your inner faith. Your testimony is believed because you have believed in your own inner truth.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the Lord's coming is already true in you. Feel the I AM as present and let peace settle; imagine your daily life shining with faithfulness and realized unity.
