The Inner Crown Covenant
2 Samuel 7:12-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Samuel 7 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage promises that David's heir will build a house for God's name and establish an eternal throne; mercy will sustain the king, and the dynasty will endure forever.
Neville's Inner Vision
See the covenant as a state of consciousness that cannot perish. When your days are fulfilled, a seed rises from within you and an inner line of kingship emerges, a new lord of your being that will govern the kingdom of your moment-by-moment awareness. The 'house for My Name' is the temple you create in attention where you honor the Life that moves through you; the throne established forever is the unshakable sense of I AM—your everlasting center. If you experience misalignment or error, you do not lose love; you are gently chastened by the rod of men, a symbolic adjustment that brings you back to your true sonship. My mercy shall not depart from him means your essential self remains intact and cherished, even as you revise your thoughts and beliefs. Your house and your kingdom established forever before thee is your inner sovereignty—an enduring, reigning consciousness that no circumstance can dethrone. This is the spiritual dynasty within you, the covenant kept by awareness itself.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the state: I AM the I AM, I have established a throne within me that endures forever. Feel it-real by dwelling in that kingly awareness for a few breaths.
