2 Samuel 7:12-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Samuel 7 in context

Scripture Focus

12And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
13He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
14I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:
2 Samuel 7:12-14

Biblical Context

David's line is promised a lasting dynasty; a future son will build a house for God's name and reign forever. God promises fatherly relationship and chastening if necessary.

Neville's Inner Vision

See the seed of David as your inner seed of kingship arising in consciousness. The house and the throne are not external buildings but states of awareness you inhabit. The father and son speak of your intimate relation with the I AM within; if you err, the rod of men is the inner corrective that returns you to alignment, not punishment from without. This covenant is kept within your soul, and its perseverance is your experiential crown. When you recognize that the line and throne are yours in consciousness, you are freed from chasing outward power; your kingdom exists in you, enduring forever.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, breathe the I AM into your chest, and declare I AM the seed of the eternal kingdom within me now. Then revise any sense of limitation by affirming My throne now reigns in consciousness.
