Read 2 Samuel 7 in context

Scripture Focus

12And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
13He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
2 Samuel 7:12-13

Biblical Context

God promises that after David's days, a descendant will establish his kingdom and build a house for God's Name. The throne of that kingdom will endure forever.

Neville's Inner Vision

Consider this passage as a map of your inner life. The days that are fulfilled point to the closing of old identities and the surrender of former self-concepts. Then the seed that proceeds out of thy bowels appears—a new inner state you have assumed and fed with feeling. I will establish his kingdom within you is the announcement that your dominant state of awareness becomes the ruler of your experience. The 'house for my name' is the sanctuary you build in consciousness where the I AM alone is recognized as the living presence; it is not a mere lineage but the degree to which you honor divine consciousness in thoughts. 'Throne forever' signals the permanence of that inner state; when you hold to the sense 'I AM' as your reality, you have established a lasting reign over appearances. The invitation is simple: imagine the kingdom, feel its reality now, and dwell there until it becomes memory. Do not chase outward signs; let the imagined king within assert itself and your world bow to that order.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume the established inner kingdom and feel I AM ruling. Hold that feeling for several minutes, revising any doubt as needed.
