Planting The Inner Kingdom

2 Samuel 7:10-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Samuel 7 in context

Scripture Focus

10Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,
11And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the LORD telleth thee that he will make thee an house.
2 Samuel 7:10-11

Biblical Context

The passage promises a settled place for God's people, rest from oppression, and a lasting house. It emphasizes divine order and security.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this text the land and the house become states of consciousness. When I accept that I am the dwelling place of the I AM, the inner terrain is planted and stabilized. No longer do I wander in fear or drift with restless thoughts. The enemies described are fear, doubt, and agitation; as I remain convinced that I AM, they lose power and withdraw. The rest promised is a still center I feel within, a quiet order that does not move with circumstance. The Lord’s promise to make thee a house is a declaration that my inner life becomes a lineage of right imagining—a succession of thoughts aligned with God that births harmony. This is not about external structures but about an internal reality I, as consciousness, decree and realize. When I live as the I AM, I plant myself in a secure inner dwelling and outward events bow to the order of my inner state.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume you are already dwelling in your own inner house. Close your eyes, feel the settled safety, and declare you are planted in the Lord's rest; maintain that feeling until it becomes your reality.
