2 Samuel 6:2

Biblical Context

David and his company moved to bring up the ark of God from Baale of Judah, seeking the divine presence that dwells between the cherubim.

Neville's Inner Vision

In this verse the ark is not a mere chest but your own awareness, the I AM you are conscious of. The act of gathering the people to bring it up signifies a deliberate shift in consciousness from ordinary perception to the sacred center that dwells between the cherubim. The name of the LORD of hosts that dwells there is the living awareness you already are, the constant presence that frames every experience. To bring up the ark is to turn attention from external conditions and rest in the certainty that you are the author of your world. When you imagine yourself as the ark, you align your inner dispositions with that divine presence, and your thoughts, feelings, and actions begin to reflect a state of invincible awareness. The presence, far from being distant, is the very I AM within your consciousness, calling you back to a note of unity. You do not chase after God; you revise the sense of self until the state of God within becomes your experienced reality here and now.

Practice This Now

Assume that you are the ark present within you; feel the I AM as your immediate reality, and let your next moment act from that assured divinity.
