Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
David gathered thirty thousand chosen men to transport the ark of God from Baale of Judah to the place where the LORD dwells between the cherubim.
Neville's Inner Vision
To Neville, the ark is the I AM made visible in imagination. The gathering of thirty thousand is the mind gathering its states of consciousness—the rich, charged imaginal faculties ready to move toward a fixed point. Baale of Judah, the house of praise, stands for your heart’s loyalties, your readiness to honor the presence. The ark’s dwelling between the cherubim is the inner sanctuary where awareness dwells, between the two cherubim representing your disciplined faculties—judgment and affection, reason and feeling—united by the assumption that I AM is the sole reality. The mission to bring the ark up from its ordinary place to the place where the name of the LORD dwelleth is the revision of your inner landscape: you move your attention toward the felt presence of God now. The invitation is to realize that this presence is not coming from outside, but awakening in your consciousness by your own assumption and feeling.
Practice This Now
Assume the I AM now by gathering your inner powers—courage, faith, clarity—into a single procession toward the heart; imagine the ark resting between the cherubim within you and feel it real. Hold that felt sense for a moment and let your ordinary perception revise to this conscious presence.
