Unity With Inner King
2 Samuel 5:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Samuel 5 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
All the tribes of Israel come to David in Hebron, declaring they are his bone and flesh, a sign of deep unity and rightful allegiance. The moment reveals the inner principle of kingship at work in consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that the tribes did not journey to a distant ruler but to an inner throne, the I AM made flesh as David. When they say we are thy bone and thy flesh, they declare that the entire self recognizes its own sovereignty and oneness with the king it has chosen. Hebron here stands not as a place on a map but as the secure center of awareness where inner decisions take form. The outward gathering is the movement of consciousness toward alignment, not a political alliance but a reintegration of parts of self into unity of purpose. The kingdom of David represents the realized idea in me; to say we are bone and flesh is to affirm that every tendency, memory, and talent is part of the same living organism. When I dwell on this inner identification, the sense of separation dissolves and the inner governor holds sway over conditions. The outer events reflect inner knowing, and I stand within a single, unbroken I AM, ruling the scene by the consciousness that cannot be divided.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, imagine Hebron as the seat of your I AM within your chest, and repeat softly that you and the king are one. Rest in the felt sense that all parts of you are the bone and flesh of a single life.
