Biblical Context
David is told by Gad that God offers three judgments: seven years of famine, three months fleeing his enemies, or three days of pestilence; he must choose which to endure.
Neville's Inner Vision
God’s message to David is an invitation to scan your own states of consciousness. The three options are not external punishments but inner conditions you are entertaining: famine as long lack, pursuit as persistent fear, and pestilence as quick inner unrest. Gad’s delivery shows that the power to choose rests in your awareness—the I AM within. When you acknowledge this, you see you have not been at the mercy of events but are the imaginer of them. By choosing a different state now and assuming it, you revise the reality you are living. If you desire prosperity, fix your inner conviction on the end you want and dwell in its feeling until confidence replaces doubt. If you fear trouble, remember you can revoke it by returning to the kept, chosen state of consciousness. The moment you settle into the chosen state, unseen currents begin to move toward you and liberty becomes your lived experience.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, 'I have chosen the state I desire now.' Then imagine the scene as already real and feel it fully for a few minutes.
